In today’s fast-paced international market, in-house lawyers are required to develop and define the skill of what we could call multiculturalism – whether if selling, purchasing, networking, merging or creating partnerships, an in-house company lawyer is required to know how to act and communicate wherever he or she turns and whomever, foreign or national, he is required to deal with for different purposes. An internationally-operating in-house must perfection his or her skills in communicating with fellow in-house colleagues in counterparty companies who adopt a different legal system and act on the basis of their country’s legal grounds. Fiorenza Provenzano was born in Torino, Italy, in 1989. From a very early age , she travelled extensively in the Middle East with her family, living and growing up for nearly a decade in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and Cairo, Egypt, where she studied in International Schools and had the opportunity to grow up in a multicultural environment. Upon her return to Italy and after having terminated her studies at the International School of Turin, where she obtained both the American High School Diploma, the Italian High School Diploma and the International Baccalaureate along with numerous international recognition awards such as the ECIS Award for International Understanding, she enrolled in Law School where she graduated with maximum grades at the Law Faculty of Turin, discussing a final thesis in both English and Italian on the law grounds to new global economic scenarios. With a passion to law and international business, years later she started her career as legal in-house in several public and private institutions and was later hired as Legal Affair Specialist in a flourishing, world-leader Italian industry, SPEA S.p.A.. The company, with worldwide affiliates and distributors, has given her the opportunity to experience connections with different legal consuetudes and systems. Three years later, she is now SPEA S.p.A’s Legal Executive, serving as the Head Quarter Legal expert for all legal matters worldwide and is a member of the Associazione Italiana Giuristi d’Impresa, association of italian in-house counsels that is part of the European Company Lawyers Association.
