Consumer Centricity and Consumer Rights
Many companies have adopted consumer centricity as their way of doing business. Consumer centricity ensures that consumers have the best possible experience with products or services. Product design, shopping experience, information, customer care are designed based on consumer feedback and a deeper understanding of consumers’ needs and their journey. Beyond the business benefits, consumer centricity captures and favours consumer rights. As in-house lawyers, our ability to convey to our internal customers that respect and protection of consumer rights is not only a legal obligation but a translation of the consumer-centric model, which will protect our companies, foster their sustainability and enhance their business success.

Training for the 21st century, what law schools never taught us
Lawyers are called upon to review issues from a lot more than just a legal perspective. We are called upon to analyze business concerns, have a critical eye and opine on areas that are not typically addressed in traditional legal training. This includes collaboration with non-lawyers and to actively engage in diversity 'in action' so that our analysis becomes more well-rounded and more relevant to our clients. This session outlines how in-house teams can create a more meaningful presentation and tools to collaborate more effectively with clients.
