Mr. Mc Namara’s Legacy: Payment Cards as one of the Greatest Financial Devices of all Times

This paper intends to provide an overview of the basics around payment cards as a financial product, commonly offered by banking entities and payment service providers, which hopefully is helpful for in-house lawyers who may have to deal with these products at some point of their day-to-day job.

Sancho Guibert has been In house counsel of Citibank for more than 23 years and currently he is the Regional Cards Counsel for Asia Pacific and EMEA (based in Madrid, Spain). He is a is a dual qualified lawyer (as abogado in Spain and solicitor in England and Wales) and his earlier experience includes 2 years’ experience as an associate at Baker & McKenzie and 1 year as visiting attorney in the Latin American Practice Group at Mayer Brown, NY office.
