Derived from antic and medieval jurisprudence where Lex Cornelia or general delict rules were used as a legal frame for the merchant identity protection, leading to the first European special trade marks laws then on to the Paris Convention and other uniform international treaties we have now.

Vadim specializes in issues of copyright, advertising, intellectual property since 1999. In 2008, he defended his dissertation on the topic "Legal regulation of advertising activities" at St. Petersburg State University. He combined practical work with teaching at the St. Petersburg State University of Economics. Vadim publishes works on topical issues of intellectual property law and other issues of civil law.
