Introduction by Chair

Andreas Gustafsson, Senior Vice President/Chief Counsel Europe Nasdaq, is managing the group that provides legal and regulatory support to Nasdaq´s European regulated entities including Exchanges, CCP:s, CSD:s and investment firm in 10 jurisdictions. The responsibility also includes the Surveillance department, which is providing monitoring of members and issuers to the Nordic Exchanges, and the EU affairs department, which is located in Brussels and covers Nasdaq’s work on all major governmental initiatives in Europe. Andreas has been working 13 years at Nasdaq and previously at the Swedish FSA, where he was involved in European working groups such as MiFID.

Ulrika Wester currently works as Group Compliance Officer at the international digital entertainment company MTG (Modern Times Group MTG AB), where she is heading the group's Compliance Office covering a range of compliance areas, such as anti-corruption, competition law, data protection and sanctions. She is also responsible for the company’s Whistleblower Process and its Gifts & Hospitality Register Prior to joining MTG, she worked 10 years at Ericsson and was in charge of the group’s competition law matters worldwide and its Competition Compliance program. Being part of Ericsson’s Compliance Office, she developed, maintained and revised policies & procedures, training programs, e-learning tools, etc. for the general operation of Ericsson’s Compliance programs (anti-corruption, competition and trade compliance). Ulrika also have experience in the complex intersection of intellectual property rights and competition law from her work with Ericsson’s IPR & Licensing Organization. Before joining Ericsson, Ulrika worked seven years in private practice at Advokatfirman Vinge, specializing in competition law and public procurement.

Nick supports Rolls-Royce’s Marine business. Nick joined Rolls-Royce in 2013, and was appointed as Chief Counsel for Marine in 2015. Before joining Rolls-Royce Nick was a partner in a Norwegian law firm Rasmussen & Broch, and has also held the role as International Coordinator of the Norwegian Competition Authority. He is a practising lawyer in Norway with 20 years of experience.

I have several years of experience working as In-house counsel in Sweden. Prior to join BSH, I worked at Ericsson and Sony Ericsson as In-house counsel mainly dealing with complex agreement drafting and negation internationally.

Ulf is the founder and COO of LegalWorks. Before founding LegalWorks he spent 14 years as an in-house lawyer in companies like Pharmacia and General Electric, where he held senior and management positions.

Christian holds law degrees from New York University, School of Law, and Lund University, Faculty of Law. Christian lives in Stockholm, Sweden, with his wife Anna and their two daughters Astrid and Stella aged 8 and 11. On his free time, Christian tries to learn to play tennis.

Adam Göransson is a lawyer and heads the legal team supporting Nasdaq’s European fixed income and post trade businesses. Currently he is also acting Head of the European Legal and Regulatory Team within Nasdaq. He specializes in financial regulation and securities law. Among other things, he worked on the re-authorization of Nasdaq’s Stockholm-based clearinghouse under the European Markets Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR) and managed the legal work stream within Nasdaq’s MiFID II implementation project. He has also has acted as Compliance Officer for the Stockholm Exchange. In 2017 he was seconded to Nasdaq’s US legal team in Washington D.C. Before joining Nasdaq he was an associate and attorney at Mannheimer Swartling specializing in public M&A, company law and financial regulation. He received his law degree from Lund University.
