Doing Business in Brazil
Abstract
The entry of Brazil into the Emerging Markets Group, leading the Latin America economy, increased the number of players interested in the Brazilian pharmaceutical market. Brazilian Legislation has been in line with most advanced laws, especially in relation to anti-trust and anti-corruption. At the same time the local Regulatory Agency has been worldwide recognized for its outstanding performance. Clinical trials are increasing in the region. In this scenario, how should internal lawyers interact in this new environment? How to be a business partner and act as independent adviser, thinking globally and acting locally, with the proposal of protecting the company globally?
