Creating Effective and Sustainable Outside Counsel Relationships

Abstract

One of the most important challenges facing international in-house counsel is building and sustaining effective relationships with outside counsel across multiple jurisdictions. By “effective” I mean those which result in important, value-adding contributions to solving business problems and optimising decision making. The approach to this complex challenge suggested here delivers significant long term benefits for both in house and outside counsel.
