Abstract

We have entered a new era in computing in which Internet-based data storage and services in “the cloud” offer individuals increased control of information while enabling more engaging, seamless experiences across their computers, cell phones, televisions, and other devices. Cloud computing also holds enormous potential to stimulate economic opportunities by empowering individuals, businesses, and governments to customize computing experiences to meet their specific needs.
