What does the Review of the New Regulatory Framework for Electronic Communications Really Reveal?

Abstract

For almost fifteen years I have been working as a lawyer in the telecoms industry, focussing among other things on telecoms regulation, both the sector specific regulation as well as the general competition law regulation, data protection and consumer protection. In this article I would like to look closer at the Review of the New Regulatory Framework of the EU for Electronic Communications (hereinafter referred to as “Review”), the actual need for it and also the changes that it brings. Besides publicly presented goals of the Review I have identified a few more facts between the lines which I think are worth sharing. I would like to point out that this article presents only my personal points of view, and does not represent the opinion of T-Mobile Czech Republic a.s.
