Tech Branded as “Legal Tools” are Actually Enterprise Tools

May 2025
ITGeneral

Abstract

Corporate legal departments have long deployed specialized tools to aid their workflows: look no further than matter management, document management, contract lifecycle management, and e-billing/spend management – not to mention a burgeoning interest in various AI-powered products in recent years. Unfortunately, this has created an artificial differentiation in the minds of many people between “legal” tech and “enterprise” tech, limiting the potential value of these tools to the entire organization. In reality, legal tech tools are enterprise tech tools, and it would benefit organizations to view them as such – because they are capable of driving efficiency and operational excellence across the organization.
