Dr. Christian A. Mohr, born 1979, joined Tergau & Walkehorst Intellectual Property GmbH as managing equity partner and Chief Visionary Officer in October 2023. He is a leading IP manager and strategist with more than 18 years of IP leadership experience. After studying biochemistry, molecular biology and law in Heidelberg, he earned his PhD at the Max von Pettenkofer Institute for Virology (LMU Munich Genecenter), then trained at a boutique Munich patent law firm and qualified as a German and European Patent Attorney. He has since counseled companies of all sizes across industries — from drug discovery and generic pharma to medical devices and chemicals — spanning large corporates to start-ups. Joining Electrolux Group in 2016, he most recently served as Head of Patents for the German patent department and led the global IP team of around 45 people on an interim basis. He is also a certified Innovation Manager (TÜV) and Scrum Master (CSM), focused on agile, value-oriented patent organizations — having transformed IP teams into agile "IP rocket teams" and enabled cross-functional IP management and negotiation.

Tore Stjernberg is a qualified European Patent Attorney based in Sweden with 24 years of experience in intellectual property, 20 of them in international corporate environments. He is the founder of IP4S, an independent IP boutique, where he combines broad senior patent expertise across technical fields, from consumer hardware to software and the digital domain, with AI increasingly built into how patent work gets done. Previously, as Head of Group Patents (Sweden) and IP Business Partner at Electrolux, he led teams of up to 15 professionals, served on the Patent leadership team, and shaped and implemented the group's global IP strategy. He drove the agile transformation of Electrolux's global patent department described in this article. A Certified Scrum Master and Innovation Manager, he is a recurring keynote speaker on agile IP management, and holds an M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management from Linköping Institute of Technology.
Christian's thinking increasingly moves along four threads he sees defining the next era of IP work: applying artificial intelligence to patent strategy; new on-demand service models for top-tier IP expertise; continuous improvement of IP processes and strategy; and the enduring value of classical law firm rigor. .
IP4S is an independent, business-driven IP boutique founded by European Patent Attorney Tore Stjernberg, drawing on 24 years of senior corporate IP experience across technical fields, from consumer hardware to software and the digital domain. It spans the patent lifecycle — invention harvesting workshops, patent drafting, prosecution, freedom-to-operate, portfolio management, IP strategy and license negotiations — with AI increasingly built into the way that work gets done. IP4S also takes on interim IP leadership, stepping in to head or strengthen a patent function when senior cover is needed.
