Clare O’Hare is a PhD student in political science at the University of Notre Dame, where she is researching convergence across common and civil law systems. Prior to commencing her graduate studies at the University of Notre Dame in 2017, Clare qualified as a solicitor with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in 2007 and worked in Freshfields' London and Dubai offices between 2005 and 2013. She joined Matheson in Dublin in 2014 and moved in-house to Optum in 2017 where she was associate general counsel. She received an LL.B. in Law & French from Trinity College Dublin and an LL.M. from the University of Cambridge. In 2016 she received a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University. Clare is dual qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales and in Ireland.
