Professor Derek P Auchie holds a Chair in Dispute Process Law with the University of Aberdeen's School of Law in Scotland. He is an experienced Tribunal judge, arbitrator and mediator. He has chaired thousands of judicial hearings and has delivered dozens of judicial training events. He formerly practised law in the civil and criminal courts in Scotland. Derek is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and of the Higher Education Academy. He holds a Weinstein Jams International Fellowship, obtained in 2016. He has written books, book chapters and articles on dispute process law and practice.
