Abstract
In August 2018, Elon Musk tweeted about having secured funding to make Tesla a private company at USD 420 per share. The impact of this tweet was an immediate surge in Tesla’s share prices, followed by Musk facing SEC investigation for misleading investors. Musk had to pay a fine of USD 40 Million and give up his chairman title at Tesla. So much for a tweet!
