Energy transition, transition in ADR

Abstract

The present paper reflects various readings, presentations in seminars and conferences and discussions made in the first half of 2025 as regards the most recent developments in sustainability, its governing rules and regulations as well as the impacts deriving therefrom on the management of disputes, focusing on ADR and international arbitration. In the last six months a lot has changed starting from the global geopolitical situation, the ongoing wars and conflicts in various parts of the world and the “new” trade war in the international commerce, all factors to be taken into account in combination with environmental, social and sustainable contexts. Some concerns regarding the actual situation will be raised, trying to propose possible solutions or at least provoke some thoughts on what to do next.
