Compliance Blueprint

Abstract

I have many years working within the field of Engineering within the Ministry of Defence, Automotive, Petrochemical and recently, (for the last 10 years) NHS (“National Health Service”) Estates management, within a PFI (Private Finance Initiative). It is within these recent years that Compliance has become a game changer. Whether Compliance is audited from the Client side or being delivered from a Contractor basis, it has the potential to make or break a business. If sustainable it can be a key differentiator, resulting in increased market share and as an exemplar it could become a separate income stream. Within industry there are no end of companies offering niche services, e.g. PAT (“portable appliance testing”) Testing, Fixed wiring Inspections, Water Management, Asbestos Management, Pressure Systems and LOLER (“Lifting operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations”) Inspections.
