MiCA Regulation: General Overview and Inhouse Perspective
Abstract
The regulators are not able to anticipate technology but have been working, since now few years, to regulate the already existing phenomenon of digital currencies and crypto assets. In Europe such effort goes under the name of Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (“MiCAâ€) which has been issued very recently in the form of a “regulationâ€, immediately applicable within all EU member states, as opposed to a “directive†which requires local implementation.
