International Arbitration with a Client Mindset

Abstract

The practice of law has changed dramatically since I graduated from law school 30 years ago. The advent of new technologies, communications, and where and how we work has had a ripple effect across the field. While these changes range widely over every aspect of our work, the most impact has been on client service. The role of in-house counsel has also shifted. They have become managers of risk —with new demands. The client is king —or queen—and outside counsel needs to earn the client’s trust every day.
