Visa-based labor migration in modern Russia: Maintaining an open labor market under external restrictions
Abstract
Labor migration has long been a normal and necessary part of any country's economy. For many countries, it means not only an influx of labor, but also access to knowledge, technology, and international experience. Russia is no exception. Despite changes in politics and international relations, Russia continues to develop its industry, build new facilities, maintain complex production systems, and implement technological solutions that are often created by foreign companies. All this requires the participation of foreign specialists — engineers, service technicians, IT developers, doctors, researchers, installers, and other professionals who can quickly and efficiently perform work that connects the Russian economy with global standards.
