Real Control Over Litigation: Practical Steps to Leverage Your Power as a Client in Today's Market

June 2013

Abstract

Litigation often is traumatic, chaotic and confusing, even for experienced in-house counsel at large companies with huge legal budgets. For a small or mid-size Nordic company with a modest legal budget, it can be even more difficult. There may be some who feel that litigation only concerns the large Nordic companies, like ABB, Ericsson, or Nokia, which have foreign investments worth billions of SEK. Whatever the situation may have been twenty or thirty years ago, however, today litigation is a fact of life for any company that hopes to grow and prosper, no matter what its current size.
