
Mary Shields
Head of Legal Europe, Sensata Technologies Inc, UKMary Shields heads the European legal team for Sensata Technologies, which includes supporting around 40 companies across 8 key jurisdictions operating in the fields of automotive, heavy vehicles, industrial sensing, controls applications and aerospace. Work ranges from supporting product development, IP protection and risk management through to contract work for sales, marketing and procurement teams and everything in between. The team also supports cross-border projects globally from a European perspective (whether M&A, re-structuring or compliance related) and handles litigation and claims.
Prior to joining Sensata, Mary headed up the Schrader Electronics legal team and sat on the senior executive leadership team of that business. Before that, she worked in City of London law firms specialising in international corporate commercial projects of varying sizes and scales. During that time she provided advice to a wide range of clients in different industry sectors and acted on numerous M&A deals and cross-border transactions. She holds a Law and French degree from Trinity College Dublin, a diploma in French law from the Sorbonne University in Paris and a post-graduate diploma in legal practice from Oxford University.
