Abstract

The Role (and Ethics) of General Counsels: Guardians of Justice and Values In an era of increasing regulatory pressure, the European Union's Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) is a key step towards greater transparency and accountability in business practices. This paper explores the challenges and opportunities that legal teams, particularly in the energy sector, face in implementing ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance), diversity, equity, inclusion and compliance regulations.
